Painting Practice
My work draws direct inspiration from the natural landscape. My practice traces the path as a connecting thread between two points, occupying horizontal space and vertical space, visible as water and earth, rain and light. The walker’s journey following this tangible line is one which moves through countless gates, conveys varied stories, and embodies changing emotions.
Pigment water circle paintings allow the element of chance–melting ice, water surface tension, and my own hand–to inform the final shape, size and pattern of each work.
